Installing wordpress is not enough to make blog. You need to learn, how to install plugins. Newbie have usually no ideas on this thing when they start blogging. Like me, I didn’t know about plugins, when I started blogging on wordpress platform, but after reading some articles on plugins, I got interested and was happy because, it made my blogging life easy.

Step 1: You can install wordpress directly from wp-admin. So, Log in to your wordpress admin panel.
Step 2: Go to Plugins page. You can find link on sidebar on your wordpress dashboard.(Refer to images)
Click on Plugins. You will find page similar to below.
Click on Add new Button which I marked with Red box.
It will redirect to another page. On that page, you can either search plugins or upload your own plugins if you bought and premium plugins.
If you want to Search and install plugins, refer to Step 3 or skip step 3 and go to step 4 to install plugins manually.
Step 3: You will see below image, when you click Add new button on step 2.
Type name of plugin and Click search plugins. You will see page similar to below. If I will search gallery, you will see page similar to below. I am just taking gallery as example.
Choose one plugin which ever you like, then Click on Install now button. It will start installing process, and at the end, it will ask you to activate plugin. Click on it and you are done. If plugin have setting page, go to it and make some change according to your choice.
Step 4: If you want to install plugin manually, click on Upload button.
It will show you page similar to below image.
Browse your plugin file with .ZIP extension whichever you downloaded, and click Install now. It will start install process and at the end, it will ask you to activate plugin. Click on it and you are done. Most of premium plugins have setting pages, so you need to make change according to your choice.
